LANDFILL CONSTRUCTION, OPERATIONS & MAINTENANCE
KINSLEY’S LANDFILL – DEPTFORD, NEW JERSEY
Construction manager for 35 acre expansion utilizing natural clay liner and leachate collection system. Performed construction management for closure of 120-acre landfill including 98 acres natural clay cap and 22 acres synthetic cap and drainage layer. Installed methane gas collection system consisting of 110 gas extraction wells, related headers, piping, valves and fittings. Gas flow is directed to three Caterpillar G399 engine generators and an enclosed flare. Condensate from the system flows to a perimeter leachate collection system. The system is designed to handle up to 3 million CFD.
Currently responsible for overall Post Closure site operations and maintenance (O&M), including generation of 1.5 megawatts electrical power and operation of on-site 20,000 GPD Zim Pro leachate treatment plant.
SOUTHERN OCEAN LANDFILL – WARETOWN, NEW JERSEY
Contractor and agent for landfill owner for the closure of 12 acres lined area of the site. Unique closure technology used revenue generating beneficial use recyclable products as fill and grading material. Entire project is funded by beneficial use materials.
Closure activities included grading, capping 12 acres with synthetic liner, installing drainage and gas vent layers as well as gas vents. Leachate management and other operation and maintenance activities performed as well.
KIN-BUC LANDFILL – EDISON, NEW JERSEY
Performed post closure O&M from 1982 to 1994 at this Superfund site, including operation of a 20 GPM mobile leachate treatment plant. Responsible for hazardous waste management of PCB contaminated soil and oils.
During remediation construction, operated a 20,000 GPD activated carbon leachate treatment system. Pretreated and shipped several million gallons of leachate to off-site disposal facilities.
After construction completion, performed troubleshooting and well field balancing of gas collection system and flaring system.
EDGEBORO LANDFILL – EAST BRUNSWICK, NEW JERSEY

Perform Operations and Maintenance on gas collection system and 4 candlestick flaring stations at Edgeboro I.
MIDDLESEX COUNTY SOLID WASTE AUTHORITY – EDGEBORO LANDFILL – EAST BRUNSWICK, NEW JERSEY
Client: Edgeboro International, Inc.
Construction Manager and Piping Contractor for installation of 60 gas collection wells and 15,000 feet of horizontal gas collection lines.
Performed Operation & Maintenance on the new system.
EDGEBORO LANDFILL – EAST BRUNSWICK, NEW JERSEY
Clients: Edgeboro Disposal, Inc., OWT Environmental
Assisted with the design of the original gas collection system, which feeds four 1000-CFM flares and one 4000-CFM enclosed flare. Installed in excess of 20,000 linear feet of HDPE gas headers and horizontal gas collection lines, plus several thousand feet of leachate transmission lines.
Subcontractors for O&M on entire gas collection system, including flares.
HACKENSACK MEADOWS DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION (HMDC) – KEARNY, NEW JERSEY
Hired as subcontractor for O&M on installed gas management systems and energy recovery facility at HMDC Landfill.
ILR LANDFILL – EDISON, NEW JERSEY
Hired as sub-contractor for installation of landfill gas collection system. Performed pump tests to determine landfill gas quality and quantity for energy recovery feasibility study.
SMITHTOWN LANDFILL – KINGS PARK, NEW YORK
Installed 30 gas wells and operated landfill gas recovery system for the generation of 0.6 megawatts electrical power, utilizing one Caterpillar G399 engine generator set.
RIVERHEAD LANDFILL – RIVERHEAD, NEW YORK
Assisted in design of and installation of a gas recovery system. Operated landfill gas recovery system for the generation of 0.6 megawatts electrical power utilizing one Caterpillar G399 engine generator set.
MAC LANDFILL – DEPTFORD, NEW JERSEY
Installed 35 passive gas vents and venting trench for gas migration control system at this 36 acre closed landfill.
Perform on-going O&M, including vegetative maintenance, groundwater and surface water testing and gas migration testing.
GRAND CENTRAL SANITATION – PEN ARGYL, PENNSYLVANIA
Installed 20 gas recovery wells and performed pump test for quality and quantity for energy recovery feasibility study.
CUMBERLAND COUNTY LANDFILL – NEWBURG, PENNSYLVANIA
